Melody Garrison, Office Manager

Melody has enjoyed working in Therapy for over 20 years.  She also has experience in billing, insurance verification and scheduling.  In her spare time she enjoys knitting baby blankets, reading and spending time with her four grandchildren and five dogs.

 

 

 

Katie Reed, ST

Katie Reed is a speech/language pathologist who works with pediatric and adult clients to facilitate improved articulation, language, cognitive, and swallowing skills in order to help achieve communication, social, and feeding/swallowing goals.
Katie believes that quality rehabilitative care is essential for recovery from illness and/or injury and in attaining age-appropriate developmental milestones for children who are behind. She also knows that a dedicated and caring therapy team can make all the difference in a client’s progress toward their goals, and that the relationship between clients and therapists is one that can last for a lifetime.
Katie has extensive clinical experience treating a wide variety of diagnoses in clients ranging in ages across the lifespan. She has worked in outpatient, nonprofit, and skilled nursing settings as a therapist and is currently working in multi-site management as Director of Therapy Services for Transitions Rehabilitation.
Katie holds a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, movies, and relaxing in the Florida sunshine.

Ashlie Daharsh, M.S. CCC-SLP

Ashlie is a licensed speech language pathologist at our Tampa outpatient clinic. Ashlie has been working in the field for 6 years, with experience working in both the educational and medical settings. She has experience with individuals of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. Ashlie has special interest in working with individuals with Parkinson ’s disease, and holds certification in the Speak Out! Program for treating speech and swallowing in PD.
Ashlie received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of South Florida.
While she is not working, Ashlie enjoys spending time at home with her husband, and furbabies, traveling, and going to the beach.

Caitlin Jefferis, MOT, OTR/L

Caitlin graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree and Bachelor of Health Science degree. She has experience working with children and adults in an outpatient setting to provide client-centered care that enables them to reach their full potential. As a fieldwork student Caitlin worked with children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder, and sensory processing difficulties to create fun and engaging interventions that would help them reach their goals. In the adult outpatient setting, Caitlin worked with individuals with neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury to facilitate their ability to participate in the daily routines and activities that bring them happiness. Aside from occupational therapy, Caitlin enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, and going to Disney.

Karly Zengel, PT, DPT

Karly received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in May and is the newest member of the Transitions Rehabilitation team. She has a special interest in working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Throughout her studies, she advocated for children with ASD to receive physical therapy services. She currently holds an Autism Fitness Certification! Her passion includes all pediatric physical therapy where she aims to help children re-integrate into the community. During her clinical rotations, she gained experience with adults in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic settings as well as children who have experienced a TBI, SCI, stroke, and other neurological diagnoses. In her free time, Karly enjoys working out and going to the beach.

 

Jill Gagliardo, Director of Clinical Compliance and Reimbursement

Jill Gagliardo has more than 35 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining Transitions Rehab, Ms. Gagliardo graduated from Hofstra University with a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree from the State university of NY in Communication Disorders.
Ms. Gagliardo has worked with the pediatric population, specializing in speech, language and feeding disorders of physically impaired children, aged 2-5. She was the Director of the TIP (Therapeutic Intervention Program) of ARC Broward, a program that specialized in providing speech, language and education to K-3 severely autistic children, as well as overseeing a Florida State Grant that in addition to Speech, Physical and Occupational therapy, included Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Education.
